Meet Katie
As a REALTOR®, Katie uses her creativity and vision to help clients find their dream home or sell their current one. Her family and friends joke that everything in her life must be “one of a kind.” This passion for the unique translates into individualized service, genuine relationships, and a determination to find the perfect match for each of her clients. She’s spent her career helping people write their stories and wants to help you write yours!
She grew up in South Carolina and attended Clemson University, where she received a B.A. in English Literature. As an English teacher, Katie served the community at Alexander Graham Middle School and Myers Park High School, where she also coached volleyball, supervised the yearbook staff, led Dream Team, and developed the Creative Writing program. Katie is a writer and earned an MFA in Creative Nonfiction from Queens University of Charlotte.
The loves of her life are her niece, Greta, and her wirehaired dachshund, Doxology (affectionately named after Samuel’s horse in Steinbeck’s East of Eden).
Fun Facts
- Katie loves to travel and has lived in London, England, and the Netherlands.
- She is an adjunct professor at Central Piedmont Community College, where she continues to teach English.
- She’s always working on a project, whether it be a catering company with her sister, Sally, starting a kombucha company alongside her friend and fellow teacher, Celia Arch, or starting a podcast just for fun!
- Katie loves the mountains.
- One of her all-time favorite things to do is antique shopping for home decor and furniture.
