Favorite Fall Getaways
Blowing Rock, NC
Just a short 90 miles from Charlotte is the lovely town of Blowing Rock. This was a favorite for many agents. Jenny Eastman says Tweetsie Railroad is a favorite for families with smaller kids. Don’t miss the train ride, ferris wheel, mining for gold, chair lift, and entertainment. Cindi Moore suggests going when the leaves start to change to see the beautiful fall colors. “Drive the Parkway, shop on Main Street, and have lunch!”
Greenville, SC
Drive South on I-85 and you will end up in Greenville, SC. This town has become a destination in the last few years. Ruth Moniz says, “Greenville, SC is an awesome getaway! Great museums, Greenville Zoo, The Peace Center has great shows, you can also tour the downtown area on a Segway. Easy drive and lots to explore!

Ashe County
Just under 2 hours from Charlotte is Ashe County. Amanda Blackburn says this time of year is the perfect time to see the gorgeous leaves. She also suggests taking a hike on Mt. Jefferson, visit the Ashe County Cheese Plant, and local restaurants, breweries, art galleries, and there is plenty of shopping. “Stay at Blue Hill Farm House and visit the pumpkin patch.

Pinehurst, NC
Pinehurst is a favorite of many agents and is mentioned year-round as a wonderful destination, especially for golf. Suzanne Coddington loves spending time there this time of year as all of the courses are all so beautiful in the Fall!

Tryon, NC
Tryon, NC is a quaint town in the NC Mountains and an easy 2 hour drive from Charlotte. Ashley McMillan loves the area for its “great hikes, restaurants, and an independent, boutique movie theater that is a classic!
