Charlotte Apartments Are Getting More Luxe as Relocations Ramp Up. We’re Here to Help!

Not long ago, having a pool boosted a Charlotte apartment complex to luxury status. Now, developers are going all in on things like golf simulators and white-glove concierge services.

This is part of becoming a big city, the Charlotte Ledger reports. As more people from metros like New York or Chicago move to Charlotte, we need to meet their big-city standards. These fancy buildings may command shockingly high rents, but complexes are full—demonstrating the booming demand.

Corporate-sponsored relocations are a big part of the 100-plus people moving to Charlotte every day, and when those folks land here, they often need—or want—to rent first, according to leaders at Dickens Mitchener.

For some, renting is only a short chapter before settling into their dream home. But many young folks are drawn to the South End neighborhood, where many of the earlier-mentioned luxury apartments are located. For those young people, renting can be a more appealing option, at least for a few years, Sarah Szczodrowski, VP of Sales & Training, says.

Either way, the Dickens Mitchener full-service rental division is in high demand.

These relocation services go beyond helping newcomers find rental homes or apartments, Catharine Pappas, Vice President of Relocation and Client Services, explains. From helping the other spouse find a job to picking the right neighborhood for your lifestyle, we can do it all, she says. If people are relocating from outside the U.S., Dickens Mitchener agents can even help with securing a Social Security card or making DMV appointments.

“Our job is to make them feel like they’ve lived here for a long time, even when they haven’t,” Pappas says.
