Charlotte Neighborhood Spotlight: 10 Things to Do in NoDa

Charlotte Neighborhood Spotlight: 10 Things to Do in NoDa

NoDa is Charlotte’s artsier neighborhood, filled with murals, artisan pop-ups right along the main street and a number of beloved small businesses. Here’s what to add to your NoDa bucket list.

Things to Do

See a Show at The Neighborhood Theatre or The Evening Muse

The neighborhood is best known for its arts scene. From indie bands to comedians, you can catch live performances most nights.

Play with Cats at The Mac Tabby Cat Cafe

Mac Tabby isn’t just a coffee shop. They house about a dozen adoptable cats that you can play with, or apply to take home. Be sure to make a reservation.

Plan a Brewery Crawl

Charlotte’s brewery scene is among its top calling cards, and many of the best are right in NoDa. Make an afternoon of hopping between Wooden Robot, Divine Barrel, Heist and Birdsong (just outside of the neighborhood).

Eat & Drink

Get Pizza and Beer from Salud Cerveceria

There’s a lot going on under the Salud roof, and it’s all good. Pop by in the morning for coffee and a little remote work session; grab a pizza for dinner; sip beers with your friends; or dance well into the night for Latin Nights.

Do Date Night at Ever Andalo

For a fancier night out in NoDa, swing for homemade pasta from Ever Andalo and maybe swing by Idlewild for a night cap afterward. This is a great double date spot.

Catch up With Friends at Rosie’s Coffee & Wine Garden

Tucked away among acres of roses and other greenery, you’d never know this sweet wine bar is just outside of busy Uptown. This is one of Charlotte’s best hidden gems. Bring your own snacks for a charming picnic — they’ve got the wine.

Relax on No Da Company Store’s Premium Patio

If you want to get a sense of NoDa’s vibe in one spot, head to NoDa Company Store. It’s casual and fun, just like the neighborhood.

Shop

Find Something Funky at Rats Nest

Thrifty shoppers will delight in the treasure trove that is Rats Nest, where the motto is “vintage clothes that don’t suck.”

Grab a Gift from Pura Vida

Books, jewelry, art, you never know what you’ll find at Pura Vida. They source their finds from 40+ countries—all handmade, ethically sourced, fair trade, and sustainably made.

Discover One-Of-A-Kind Pieces at Boris and Natasha

This shop has been around for 25 years, and has continued to be one of the city’s top stops for unique clothing and accessories.

Looking for more recs just outside of NoDa? Try one of everything from Optimist Hall, one of Charlotte’s best food halls. Or spend an afternoon at Camp North End, which has dozens of public art pieces, restaurants, shops and more!
