The Queen City has been a prime relocation hub for years, known for its booming banking and technology industries. U.S. News & World Report recently named Charlotte as number 6 of “The Top 25 Best Places to Live in the US” because of its fast and sustained population growth. Up from spot No. 20 in 2019, it is noted that “the Charlotte metro area grew by 5.83% between 2014 and 2018 due to net migration alone.” This growth is no surprise as Charlotte has been on the up-and-up for the past several years, having seen continued city development projects and population growth year-over-year.
However, the city is not new to being ranked as one of the best and has also been named as one of the top 4 metros for growth in the US, as well as one of the top 10 cities to move to in the US. Due to Charlotte’s fast-tracked growth and booming industries, it is no wonder that the city has attracted many to relocate in recent years for the “old fashioned southern charm and high-energy cosmopolitan bustle.”

Charlotte’s metro population of more than 2,473,125 has an average annual salary of $51,000 per year and a median home value of $231,233. The city also holds its place as one of the top 10 most desirable places to live, with many U.S. residents expressing a desire to live there compared to some of the other places previously listed.
