Five Pick-Your-Own Pumpkin Patches To Visit This Fall

Five Pick-Your-Own Pumpkin Patches To Visit This Fall

Now that crisp autumn weather has (finally!) arrived in Charlotte, it’s time to visit a pick-you-own pumpkin patch to kick off the fall season. Whether you choose one large pumpkin to adorn your front porch or a dozen mini pumpkins, creating memories with your family at a pumpkin patch is fun for the whole family. Many pumpkin patches also feature hayrides, animal petting barns, and delicious fall-themed treats. Below are our recommendations of pumpkin patches to consider visiting this fall. At some of these locations, hours and pricing can change depending on the weather and the day of the week, so be sure to check online before planning your trip.

Check Out These Five Pumpkin Patches

  • Cherry Place Farm: The October festival at Cherry Place Farm (1922 Oakdale Road in Rock Hill) is a family-friendly event featuring a two-acre corn maze as well as a pumpkin patch. The festival is geared towards children, but all ages will enjoy the activities!
  • Carrigan Farms: Carrigan Farms (1261 Oak Ridge Farm Highway in Mooresville) has activities for all ages, with a family-friendly pumpkin patch during the daytime hours and a terrifying haunted trail called Scarrigan Farms at night (not for kids under 12 years old). Reservations are required, so book your visit online in advance.
  • The Hunter Farm: The Hunter Farm (13624 Providence Road in Matthews) features pumpkin picking, a feeding and petting barn, hayrides and food trucks on the weekends.
  • From boiled peanuts, ice cream, donuts, apple cider slushes and even live music, Bush-N-Vine Farm (1650 Filbert Highway in York) has it all!
  • Aw Shucks Farms: (3718 Plyler Mill Road in Monroe) features a corn maze, pumpkin patch, play area and a barn where children can feed farm animals including goats, pigs and more.
