Pick your own apples within 1 hour of Charlotte
Carrigan Farms is only 35 minutes from Charlotte and a local favorite for many reasons. In 2022, the apple picking season will run from September 6th through September 25th. For $14 per person, you get a half-peck bag to fill with apples along with access to the hayride, petting zoo, and orchard.
Windy Hill Orchard & Cider Mill is located in York, SC, less than an hour drive from Charlotte. Advanced reservations must be made again this year. The farm stand is open now, but you-pick will start September 3, 2022.
Pick your own apples within 2 hours of Charlotte
SkyTop Orchard is a Charlotte local favorite. Located in Flat Rock, NC, you will find 22 varieties of apples as well as mountain views. Come hungry as they serve apple-cider slushes, apple-cider doughnuts, and hot caramel apples. Kids can visit the barnyard animals and the playground, and see the cider press at work. Justus Orchard is located in Hendersonville, NC. The Justus Family has been growing delicious NC Apples for more than Four Generations, and now their Fifth generation is an active part of Justus Orchard as well. The Blueberry Thrill farm offers more than just apples. Located in Gibsonville, NC, they offer fruit during the summer season every year. The fall produce includes apples, muscadines, pumpkins, and farm-fresh eggs. Follow their Facebook page for information on when they are open for picking.
