Paddle to Table: Hosted by the U.S. National Whitewater Center, Paddle to Table offers guests the opportunity to enjoy a guided flatwater paddle on the Catawba River, followed by a unique dining experience outdoors. You can choose between a stand-up paddleboard or a flatwater kayak and experience a sunset paddle along the Whitewater Center’s banks. Devil’s Logic Rooftop Yoga: This Saturday, August 22, 2020, Habitual Roots has partnered with the newest brewery Devil’s Logic, known for its skyline views, killer beers, and amazing patio space! Come join a rooftop yoga class for all levels that incorporates mind, body, and breath. After the class, stick around for a free beer or kombucha! You can register for the class here.

Ride Or Die Spin Class at the Music Yard: Come sweat it out on Saturday, August 29th from 10-11 am at The Music Yard with Ride or Die Spin Class. This is an outdoor series with live DJ, Daniels Jack, that will include a ride time of 45-50 minutes, including a cool down with an ice-cold lavender towel.
Drive-In Movies at Carolina Mall in Concord: As movie theaters remain closed in North Carolina, Southeast Cinemas, at Carolina Mall in Concord, will be showing movies outside from August 20-23rd at 9 PM. Sound will be transmitted directly to your car via an FM transponder, and the station will be given to you upon arrival. Food and drink can also be ordered from the comfort of your own car. The cost is $20 a car for the drive-in experience.

Sweetwater Farm’s Open Farm Days: Found in Huntersville, just outside of Charlotte, Sweetwater Farms is home to open space, gardens, and rescued farm animals, including chickens, horses, donkeys, goats, and pigs. This summer, you can bring your children for a farm visit on Fridays and Saturdays between 10 AM and 2 PM and Thursdays, from 10 AM to noon. From having picnics, strolling on the paths, and meeting the animals, this is the perfect fun and educational weekend activity for the whole family. Plan your visit here.

Sliding Rock: Escape the Charlotte heat and head to the Pisgah National Forest to sliding rock. This 60-foot rock water slide ends in an 8-foot pool of water. It is staffed 7 days a week through Labor day and then on the weekends through October. More information can be found here.

Wilderness Run Alpine Coaster: The first alpine coaster in NC opened in 2020 in Banner Elk, NC. Riders control the speed of their sled for a 5-7 minute ride. Purchase a bundle of 3 rides, you will be happy you did! Find out more on the website here.
