Spring is off to a busy—and exciting—start here at Dickens Mitchener. We’re thrilled to announce our founder, Vicky Mitchener, was named one of Charlotte Business Journal’s Most Admired CEO’s for 2025.
The annual awards program celebrates established Charlotte-area leaders who have a “proven track record of innovation in their field, outstanding financial performance, promoting diversity in the workplace and making an impact that extends beyond the boardroom,” CBJ reports.
For Vicky, that means leading with authenticity and an open mind. “Being open to new and different ideas is energizing and creates an open dialogue and environment for team members,” Vicky says.
Vicky started Dickens Mitchener more than 30 years ago, motivated to build a forward-thinking, cutting-edge brokerage. Today she’s one of the biggest forces in Charlotte real estate, with a team of more than 100 experienced agents by her side—dedicated to setting new industry standards. She brings more than 30+ years of experience to the table and impressive sales of more than $40 million per year.
“Vicky is a fearless but kind and compassionate leader who has done an amazing job of guiding our organization for almost 35 years,” VP of Relocation Catharine Pappas says. “I have had the privilege of working closely with her for 30 years plus and she has truly been a mentor and friend.”
CBJ will celebrate Vicky and the other wonderful Charlotte-area leaders named to this year’s list in June. CBJ will also share special coverage June 20—so stay tuned!
