History
Mooresville's roots date back to the mid-1700s when prominent English, Scot-Irish, and German families moved to the area from Virginia, Pennsylvania, and other parts of North Carolina. They sought fertile farmland and found it. A century later, the area was home to numerous cotton plantations, some of which still stand today. Just before the Civil War, a farmer named John Franklin Moore helped turn the area into a prosperous railroad town called Moore's Siding. Before his death, Moore incorporated the town of Mooresville in 1873, and the area has grown ever since.Â

The chef promises to bring his New England seafood experience to North Carolina and does not disappoint. The restaurant is located on River Highway.

- Iredell County Area Transportation System - The Iredell County Area Transportation System or ICATS, along with the town of Mooresville, provides a van shuttle that runs weekdays from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. The wheelchair-accessible van makes stops at places like Mitchell Community College, the Mooresville Library, Target, Best Buy, and Walmart.
- Airports - Several large and small private and commercial airports are located within 7 to 35 miles of Mooresville. These range from the small Lake Norman Airpark to Charlotte Douglas International Airport.

- Consumer Square - Consumer Square is a large shopping center with several recognizable stores and restaurants. Some of them include Walmart, Jo-Ann Fabrics and Crafts, Pizza Hut, and Taco Bell. It also has its own movie theater.

- Mallard Head Golf Course - Imagine a relaxing round of golf while looking out at the tranquil waters of Lake Norman. Mallard Head Golf Course sits right along the shore and is 6,904 yards of world-class golf.
- GoPro Motorplex - At GoPro Motorplex, it is your turn to get behind the wheel. Kart racers of all levels can rent a kart that tops out at 55 miles per hour and race it around a world-class track that is based on the Kartdromo Parma in Italy.
